July Card Making Class Projects
Wow, the months are flying by, here’s a roundup of the July card making class projects that we made.
The first card uses the Beautiful You stamp set and the Seaside Embossing Folder. First of all we stamped the girl with the umbrella in Memento Black Ink. We coloured either using Stampin’ Blends or Watercolour Pencils and blender pen depending on preference. Finally the sentiment is from the same set, it looks cute with a small strip of the In Colour Designer Series Paper in contrast underneath. This matches the similar strip placed between the Whisper White panel and the card base of Lovely Lipstick.
The next card was inspired by a sunday sketch design from Patsy Waggoner. We embossed the crumb cake card base using the Softly Falling embossing folder (one of my favourites). Then we embossed the Blushing Bride panel using the hexagons Embossing Folder and sponged over it using Crumb Cake ink. We used Pear Pizzazz for the stems of the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. The flowers were cut using the matching Bouquet Bunch Framelits and Blushing Bride card. I love the finishing touch created with the circles for the sentiment and the pretty Lace Trim tucked under the Very Vanilla top layer.
Lastly we made a fun card using Animal Outing. Inspired by a design by Cindy Elam this card uses a Lemon Lime Twist card base and leaves punched from the Leaf punch. We embossed the Smokey Slate layer with the Seaside embossing folder. The black frame was created by using 2 sizes of the Layering Square Framelits. The Rhino was stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured this time using Stampin’ Blends. We cut him out using the matching Animal Friends Thinlits and mounted him on dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in black and cut out using the new Stitched Labels Framelits and adhered using dimensionals.
Our next card making class is coming up on the 13th August. You can register now at the classes tab above, we’d love to have you join us and make some lovely cards to wow your family and friends.
